Oils update.
Yesterday while painting i was whining about how long oils take to dry and how annoying it was, and I cant remember who (probably Amy) walked past and just said “why don’t you work wet on wet?” and so I did and then this painting happened (its not finished but its a start) I’m really happy with the way the brushwork looks organ-y and bodily. It’s uncomfortable and hot and fleshy. The corners of the painting are vignetted because I tried to put a navy blue down and it went to mud immediately, so I scraped it off and covered it in red. I am going to tape off the section of this under layer that I love and then put a layer of the navy blue on top.
