I really like the idea of “Harvesting” shapes, and the idea of “infected” colour. They both feel very apocalyptic to me and I enjoy that, especially since thats how I feel about the world right now.
These are my typed notes from the critique with Ingrid, James, Hamish, and Tamara on Wednesday 10/3/21. I thought I was presenting an unfinished painting that I was going to work further on, but after the feedback I got I realised that it was operating in the way I was hoping it would, it just didn’t have the visual outcome that I wanted in terms of the colours I like and such.
James said he enjoyed the work from a distance but that the use of acrylic paint was letting him down. Im going to have to try oils again.
